How to Apply Vinyl Decals
-
Clean Surface
Make sure that the surface to which you will be applying the vinyl is clean and completely dry.
-
Transfer Tape
You have been provided with transfer tape for your design. Transfer tape can be reused several times for applying designs. Peel back the paper backing from the transfer tape and apply the film (sticky side down) directly to your design. Next, take something with a flat, hard edge (like a credit card) and rub the clear top to ensure the design transfers from the paper backing liner - to the clear transfer tape. Next, pull off the paper backing liner - being careful to make sure that the vinyl has transferred to the clear transfer tape. Do this slowly – to be sure that the design does not rip while you are pulling the clear transfer tape away from the paper backing liner.
-
Adhere to Surface
Line up the vinyl image (be careful as the vinyl now has the sticky back exposed) and lay it into position onto your project. NOTE that once you apply the image to the surface, it will be nearly impossible to remove without tearing or stretching the design.
